Nancy’s POV
“Wake up,
Nance” I heard my brother was waking me up. “Huh? What?” I shouted back.
“We’re
almost there” he reminded. “Oh great” I scream-whisper-. I. AM. SO. EXCITED!!!
YAAAYY!! How could I not? I mean, this day, this hour, this minute, this
second, I finally move to Ireland! The place where Niall James Horan, one of
one direction’s member lives! Yes, I’m a directioner… it’s normal right? A
teenage girl falls for them? Well, I’m not such a huge fan who always buys
their tickets or their merchandises. They’re a wee bit too expensive for me.
Hehe.
“Nancy,
sister… can you please shut up? Just friendly reminder we’re in a plane, public
place, not your private room” said George interrupting me fangirling. Then I
made pouted face.
“I still
don’t understand you girls… why are they so desperately adore that one
direction guy” said George again make me stare at him with disbelief
expression.
“I do too…
I do not understand why you boys hate them so much? You’re all just jealous of
them. You barely know them. If you know them like I do, you’ll like them for
sure” I said trying to make my words sound like a wise man.
“Exactly!
I bare-WE. Both of us barely know them. They just make it all
up, Nance. Just for popularity… all they care is to keep their reputation on
top. They don’t even know and they don’t even want to know you exist” said George
advising. Oh my God! I wanna punch him in the place where all boys don’t want
to be punched! But I didn’t do that, he’s my brother. Besides, we’re in a
plane. I don’t want to be kicked out of the plane because people think I’m a
maniac!
Oh! Did I mention
that I moved to Ireland? I did? Great. Yes it is! The reason why I moved to
Ireland? Well… remember the previous story of mine? Ok cool. So, George’s boss
needs him to manage his company in Ireland. I’m not sure where the company is,
but who cares? I said yes the first time he told me we got to move to Ireland.
Even I have to say goodbye to my friends which are just two: Megan and Oliver.
Megan is a directioner too, but not Oliver, since he is as boring as my
brother. But it’s worth it right? I know.
“We’re
here!!” I said full of excitement.
After me
and George take care of our stuffs, we hire a cab. In the trip, we just stuck
in a silent air. My brother as always thinks about his job and everything, and
me? As always I’m too busy drowning in my own thoughts about Niall. I’m Nancy
Juliette Holmes now officially put my feet on the same land with Niall, same
country with Niall, I even breathe the same air with Niall! Okay that’s creepy.
Niall’s POV
“According
to my count, my plane is going to leave in like 10 minutes” I said looking at
watch.
“Niall, I
think I should go now… Gemma needs me. Have a nice trip” Harry said. I just
nodded. Now it’s just me, because Loui, Liam, and Zayn already home few minutes
ago. I can’t drive yet, so Harry put me here. I put my glasses on, so no one
can see my face. I’m not paranoid, but I just don’t want to have people
screaming in front of my face right now.
Yes, I’m
going home. God, I miss Ireland so much! Moreover, I miss my mum and Greg. I
can’t wait to see them! It’s been four months since the Take Me Home Tour. It
was crazy as always. I love those moments. I tried so hard to live my dream,
and I’m very grateful for that. So many people want to be in my place now. I
was rethinking my journey before a woman’s voice in the speaker said my plane
is here. Yes, I’m taking a public plan. Because Paul who always takes care of
my flight to Ireland is busy because his mom is ill. I think it’s okay because
you can’t scream in the plane, you’ll get people mad if you do.
Soo… here we go, Ireland!
Nancy’s POV
“Nance, can
you help me instead of just standing in front of the door?” said George
interrupting my thoughts. Again.
“Fine” I
sighed then helped him. We now live in a small house which his company paid for
him. I just realized that we have a lot of stuffs and they took a lot of my
energy. Having our stuffs on the place, I made us iced tea then sit next to
him.
“George,
can I bike around here? We’re done clean this house… please?” I said trying to
make a puppy face. He just smiled and nodded. Man, sometimes I think he’s my
father! He makes me think that way! Don’t blame me.
“Nancy,
can you get some groceries? Here’s the money” he said handing me the money.
“Okay”
I
changed into a tank top with my favorite dress and a short, then I put my bike
outside. I checked it for some minutes before ride it. I bought this bike since
I was thirteen, now I’m eighteen. See? I’m normal. I said ‘bought’ because I
saved money for that bike, well not exactly that bike, I wanted to buy other
bike but my money was not enough because I had to buy medicine for George who
was ill that moment, so I just got this bike.
Back to
real life. I ride my bike through the street, I let the fresh air fill my
lungs. I like this place. It’s Ireland, Niall Horan lives in the same country
as me, this place has some fresh air, it also has beautiful views. Ah, could it
be any better?
As I enjoy
my crazy thoughts, I saw a sign said “Raithin Rd”. Oh, I live in Raithin Road.
Wait, why does it sound familiar to me?
George’s POV
It’s been
hours since Nancy left. I’m standing in the porch, staring around the neighborhood.
It is a beautiful place. The air is fresh, peaceful and cozy. It’s quiet here, of
course it is. It’s ten in the morning, everyone must be working now. Well, I’ll
start working tomorrow. So does Nancy. Of course she has to be in college. She
just graduated from High School few weeks ago. Of course I have prepared it
all. And of course I used my salary and Nancy’s saving for this. I want her
having a better life. I don’t want her to be like me. Okay I sound like a
father. Forget it.
“Hello
there” said an old lady breaks my thoughts.
“Oh, hello
Ma’am” I said greeting her.
“Why I
have never seen you before, boy? Are you new here?” she asked.
“Well, I
actually just moved here, Ma’am” I said. I let her in then make her some tea
and we chatted. She said her name was Mrs. Baker, she lives two blocks from
here, and she sells cupcakes at the corner of the street. She is such a lovely
woman and easy to talk with. I talked a lot about me and Nancy and how I love
her and don’t want her to be hurt, and also about our parents.
“Night is
always darkest before the dawn, dear… it’s always dark and scary, but
everything will get better, and the sun will shine brighter than ever” she said
before leave. She has to sell cupcakes, remember?
Nancy’s POV
“I’m
home!” I shouted.
“Nancy,
can you please just silence for once? I’m trying to sleep here” George moaned
from his bedroom. Whoops, my bad!
“Sorry” I
said with a sheepish smile.
I walked
to my room trying to sleep too, till I saw a familiar boy pulling his suitcase
into the house which is beside mine. He wears sunglasses although the weather
was not too hot. And there’s a lady hugs him. Wait, is that the lady I met in
the market this morning? I usually will run over there and ask if I get
curious, but now, I’m very sleepy and tired and my eyes slowly shut.
